Company Description

SureCare East Surrey & Sevenoaks provides tailored home care and support services to individuals within the local community, helping people live safely and comfortably in their own homes. The team focuses on person-centered care, promoting independence, dignity, and respect for each client. Services typically include assistance with daily living, companionship, and more complex care needs, depending on individual requirements. Caregivers are supported with training and guidance to deliver reliable, compassionate care and build meaningful relationships with clients and their families.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Caregiver role based in Sevenoaks. The Caregiver will support clients in their homes with day-to-day activities such as personal care, bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as assistance with mobility and medication prompts in line with company policies. The role includes helping with meal preparation, light household tasks, and running errands to support clients’ comfort and well-being. Caregivers will provide companionship, engage clients in conversation and activities, and monitor any changes in their health or circumstances, reporting concerns to the appropriate supervisor. The position requires reliable travel to clients within the Sevenoaks area, adherence to care plans, accurate record-keeping, and consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.

  • Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care, maintaining dignity, respect, and confidentiality for all clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized, with the ability to follow care plans and keep accurate records.
  • Physical ability to assist with personal care and mobility, including moving and handling in accordance with training.
  • Willingness to work full-time hours, including possible early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Commitment to learning and development, including participation in mandatory training and compliance with care standards and safeguarding policies.
  • Previous experience in care or support work is beneficial but not essential; a genuine interest in helping others is essential.
  • Basic English literacy and numeracy; a relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel to clients in the Sevenoaks area; a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are desirable.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo background and reference checks.
