Visiting Angels South Devon and Cornwall is a home care provider dedicated to supporting adults who wish to remain independent in their own homes. Care is tailored to individual needs, ranging from companionship and help with daily tasks to more complex support. Visiting Angels South Devon values reliable, empathetic caregivers and aims to create a positive, supportive environment for both clients and team members.

Role Description

This is a part-time remote Caregiver role focused on providing home-based support to clients in South Devon. Day-to-day responsibilities may include offering companionship, assisting with personal care, helping with meal preparation, and supporting light household tasks as needed. Caregivers may also remind clients to take medication as prescribed, support mobility, and monitor general well-being. The role involves following care plans, documenting observations, communicating concerns to the office or family, and maintaining respectful, professional relationships with clients. While scheduling and coordination are managed remotely, caregivers will travel to clients’ homes to deliver in-person care.

  • Experience or strong interest in caregiving, home care, or supporting adults in their own homes.
  • Ability to provide personal care, companionship, and practical household support in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong reliability, time management, and ability to work independently while following agreed care plans.
  • Empathy, patience, and a person-centered approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
  • Basic digital skills to manage schedules, record notes, and communicate remotely with the office.
  • Relevant care certifications or training are beneficial; prior experience in health, social care, or support work is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel locally to clients’ homes as required and eligibility to work in the region.
