🌟 Carer / Companion Needed for Fun-Loving 18-Year-Old Girl 🌟 £16 per hour | Flexible Hours | Upham, Hampshire (SO32 1HH)
Are you caring, reliable and looking for a rewarding role that makes a real difference?
I’m seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Carer/Companion to support a bright and bubbly 18-year-old young woman with a neurological disability to enjoy activities in her local community during weekends and school/college holidays.
💜 About the Young Person
She is full of personality, has a wonderful sense of humour, and loves being out and about. Although she is non-verbal and has severe learning difficulties, she enjoys engaging with people and making the most of new experiences.
Favourite activities include:
- Swimming
- Cycling on her specialist trike
- Days out and sightseeing
- Theatre trips
- Messy play and creative activities
- Shopping and café visits
- Science centres, zoos and theme parks
Typical outings might include visits to National Trust properties, Victoria Country Park, the cinema, Winchester Science Centre, swimming pools, shopping centres and more.

👩🦽 The Support Required
You will provide 1:1 support to help her access activities safely and enjoyably.
This includes:
- Supporting her in the community
- Ensuring her safety around roads and public places
- Offering physical assistance when walking on uneven surfaces
- Supporting wheelchair use when required
- Providing full personal care, including dressing, washing and toileting
- Encouraging participation in activities and helping create enjoyable experiences
🌟 About You
You will be:
- Caring, patient and compassionate
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Comfortable supporting a vulnerable young person in the community
- Able to build a positive and supportive relationship
- A confident driver with a full driving license
Previous experience caring for others in your personal or professional life is required, but supporting disabled people is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
This role could suit someone looking for regular hours outside school term time or an individual who needs flexibility around existing commitments.

⏰ Hours Available
School Term Time
- Up to 10 hours per week
- Saturdays and/or Sundays (minimum 2 days per month, max 4 days per month)
- Occasional evening support (optional)
School Holidays
- 1 - 5 days per week (flexible options)
Both fixed contracted hours and flexible arrangements can be considered.

✅ Essential Requirements
- Full driving license
