Cedars Care Ltd is a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider supporting people to live safely and independently in their own homes across Nottinghamshire. Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid Carer role based in Nottingham, with a mix of community visits and some work from home for care coordination and documentation. The Carer will support people in their own homes with daily living tasks such as personal care, medication prompts, meal preparation, and light household duties. The role includes monitoring wellbeing, reporting concerns, and following person-centered care plans to promote safety, independence, and dignity. The Carer will communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and health or social care professionals, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies and care standards. The position may involve flexible working hours, including some evenings and weekends, to meet service user needs.

  • Ability to provide high-quality personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build respectful relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to follow care plans, maintain records, and manage visits efficiently.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety practices in a domiciliary care setting.
  • Empathy, patience, and a person-centered approach, with a commitment to promoting independence and dignity.
  • Basic IT skills for electronic record-keeping, reporting, and remote communication.
  • Relevant care experience or training in social care is desirable; a care-related qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel within Nottinghamshire; a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks and compliance processes.
