Role Description
The Carer role at WOODSIDE LODGE LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in New Forest. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting residents with personal care, mobility, and daily activities such as dressing, washing, and eating, while promoting dignity and independence. The Carer will monitor and record residents’ wellbeing, follow care plans, and report any changes to senior staff or healthcare professionals. The role involves assisting with social and recreational activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centered care. The Carer is expected to follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures and contribute positively to the overall atmosphere of the home.

- Previous experience in care, support work, or a similar health or social care setting is highly beneficial.
- Relevant care-related training or qualifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to follow care plans, maintain accurate records, and adhere to safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient, with a commitment to person-centered care and resident dignity.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required by the home.
- Basic IT and documentation skills for updating electronic or paper-based care records.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom and ability to complete any required background and reference checks.
