Abbots Green Academy is seeking a dedicated, proactive and reliable Caretaker to play a key role in maintaining our school environment.
We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to ensuring our premises are safe, secure, clean and well-presented for pupils, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school site, carrying out routine maintenance tasks, monitoring health and safety standards, and supporting the smooth operation of our facilities.
We are seeking someone with practical maintenance skills, good problem-solving abilities and a flexible, can-do attitude. In return, Abbots Green Academy offers a supportive working environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to play a vital role in ensuring our pupils and staff have a safe and attractive place in which to learn and work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
