- Hours: 2 hours per day, 6 – 8am, term time only
- Contract: Permanent, required as soon as possible

Tudor CE Primary School are seeking a Caretaker to prepare the school for opening to children and staff and to undertake essential maintenance and statutory checks each day and week.
Your responsibilities:
- Attend relevant training as directed
- Unlock the outside gates
- Unlock all rooms inside the school
- Bring fruit in
- Bring in mail from mailbox and leave in reception
- Check and sweep if necessary, the tennis courts and playing field for debris/broken glass
- Check all outside areas
- Clean up bird droppings from artificial grass
- Blower leaves away at back off school play area/under canopy
- Check woodland area
- Sweep and tidy up quiet area outside school hall
- Make sure the areas under canopy (new school side) are kept clean
- Check all outside bins and change them when needed
- Blow the large playground clear of leaves when required
- Litter pick when required

Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Basic education (literacy and numeracy skills)
- Willingness to undertake training in statutory building checks
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
Experience:
- Previous caretaking experience in a school or similar environment is desirable but not essential
Skills and knowledge:
- Awareness of health and safety procedures and regulations (desirable but training provided if needed)
- Ability to follow instructions and work to a high standard of cleanliness
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Personal qualities:
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
- Friendly and approachable manner
- Willingness to contribute positively to the school community
- Commitment to upholding the school’s values and safeguarding children
