Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey within an educational community that values increasing opportunities, improving outcomes for our students. We are looking for a Caretaker to join our team. Reporting to the Facilities Manager you will undertake:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Open, secure and monitor school buildings and grounds.
- Act as a key holder and respond to emergency call-outs.
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs and caretaking duties.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of external areas.
- Undertake health and safety checks, testing and record keeping.
- Support site security, alarm systems and contractor access.
- Set up rooms and facilities for school events and lettings.
- Monitor heating, lighting, water systems and energy usage.
- Receive deliveries and carry out porterage duties.
- Assist with the inspection and maintenance of school vehicles and swimming pool facilities.

Pay range:
Grade 5 SCP 9-17
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educated to a satisfactory standard with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Experience undertaking a range of caretaking or site maintenance duties.
- Ability to carry out minor repairs and maintenance work.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH, desirable.
- Basic ICT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, desirable.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
