Caretaker
Hull
£26,422 - £27,833 per year
40 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Caretaker to join our team, based in Hull. This role sits within the Estates, Facilities, or Property Services department. This department is responsible for maintaining buildings, communal areas, and external grounds to ensure they are safe, clean, and well-presented for residents, staff, and visitors. As a Caretaker you will be responsible for carrying out an excellent caretaking service which will involve grounds maintenance, cleaning, gutter cleaning, void clean and clears and Landscaping.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality services, demonstrate commitment to teamwork and high levels of customer service.
The role of Caretaker will include:
- Estate cleanliness and presentation
- Grounds maintenance tasks to include litter picking and general upkeep
- Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition

Skills and experiences:
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Good communication and customer care skills
- Experience in handling bulky waste, fly-tipping removal, and property clearances safely and efficiently, including knowledge of correct waste disposal procedures
