We are looking for a caretaker to join Ashdown Primary School. We pride ourselves on being a warm, welcoming and inclusive school where children feel safe, valued and inspired to succeed. We wish to appoint a reliable and self-motivated individual who has proven skills, knowledge and understanding in the following areas:
- An ability to effectively undertake site services: cleaning, minor repair and maintenance tasks.
- Good initiative and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety procedures and protocols is desirable, but training will be given.
- Good interpersonal skills.

12.5 hours per week/52 weeks per year with the actual, pro rata, salary as: £8,508-£8,643, pay award pending.
Hours of work: 6:30-9am or 6:45-9:15am Monday to Friday.
The hours will be divided up between maintenance – including health and safety checks and cleaning.
In addition, there is a weekly evening letting and a monthly Saturday let that require the caretaker to lock up. These additional duties are paid on a claims-only basis at 0.75 hours per lock up, at time and a half.
