Looking for a role where you can see the results of your work? We're looking for a Caretaker to help maintain safe, clean and welcoming environments across our housing schemes.

This is a hands-on role that combines cleaning, minor maintenance and neighbourhood caretaking responsibilities. You'll be someone who takes pride in a job well done, has a keen eye for detail and understands the positive impact that well-maintained communal spaces have on our customers and communities.

About the role

Working across a defined patch, you’ll be responsible for the day to day presentation, cleanliness and basic maintenance of communal and shared areas. You’ll work independently while also collaborating with housing, neighbourhood and contractor teams to ensure buildings and outdoor spaces are safe, tidy and compliant.

You’ll be part of a wider caretaking team, working alongside other caretakers when required and providing cover across schemes to maintain consistent standards. While much of the role involves lone working, there will be times when you work collaboratively with colleagues on shared tasks or larger jobs.

This is a practical, frontline caretaking role focused on maintaining clean, safe and well managed environments, supporting effective neighbourhood management and high standards across our housing schemes.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a practical, reliable and self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining clean, safe and well-managed communal environments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
