About The Role

The Caretaker-EDBS Required position in Solihull offers £13.94 per hour on a full-time, temporary ongoing contract through Pertemps Solihull. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted key holder, opening and securing premises while conducting routine inspections and minor repairs. Working hours follow a standard weekly pattern, with flexibility required for operational needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and securing buildings, responding to maintenance issues, carrying out minor repairs, and acting as a trusted key holder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and lock up facilities in line with operational requirements.
  • Act as a designated key holder, ensuring buildings are secure at all times.
  • Carry out routine inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls and repair requests.
  • Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
  • Liaise with contractors and other service providers as required.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site.
  • Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and operational.
  • Report any safeguarding, security, or maintenance issues to management.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or similar role.
  • Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and site requirements.
  • Applicants MUST hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate. Applications without an Enhanced DBS will not be considered.
