Mobile Caretaker
Ely, Cambridgeshire
£26,442 - £27,833 per year
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday (Summertime 7am-3.30pm/ Wintertime 8am-4.30pm)
We have an opportunity for a Mobile Caretaker, to work as part of a double-up team to provide cleaning services and caretaking duties within our Sanctuary Independent Living / Supported and General Needs Housing sites. There will also be some lone-working and a company vehicle for business use only is available within the double-up team to be shared.
The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:
- General cleaning (including kitchens, shower rooms and bathrooms / vacuuming / dusting / mopping)
- Some caretaking tasks as required as part of the service delivery, jetting, Bulky uplifts and compliance testing on an adhoc basis
- Carry out risk assessments to identify and report any potential maintenance issues, to ensure a safe environment is maintained and to support planned maintenance programmes
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and used in line with policies and procedures
- Ensure all supplies and stocks are ordered, maintained and stored appropriately
- Maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing accurate and timely information on progress and respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations

Skills and experiences:
- Able to demonstrate a competent level of numeracy and literacy
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) guidelines
- Good communication, interpersonal and customer care skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

£26,442 per annum (rising to £27,833 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
