Monday to Friday, full-time hours
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the school site
- Ensuring the school environment is safe, secure and well maintained
- Carrying out general maintenance and site duties
Caretaker / Site Manager: Key Responsibilities
As Caretaker / Site Manager, You Will
- Ensure the school site is safe, secure and well maintained.
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks.
- Complete daily checks of the school buildings and grounds.
- Open and secure the school site as required.
- Monitor and report any maintenance, health and safety or security issues.
- Liaise with contractors and external services when required.
- Support with deliveries, moving furniture and setting up rooms.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the school site and grounds.
- Ensure site procedures and health and safety requirements are followed.
- Respond promptly to any site-related issues that arise during the school day.
- Work closely with the school leadership and administrative team.

Caretaker / Site Manager: About You
The Successful Caretaker / Site Manager Will Have
- Previous experience in a caretaker, site assistant, facilities or maintenance role, desirable.
- Experience working within a school or similar environment, desirable.
- A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs.
- Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reliable, responsible and proactive approach.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively to unexpected issues.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
