Job Purpose

Specify to the Ground Handling Agent (GHA) build instructions for all EK flights, and monitor to ensure adequate resources are provided and all EK Sky Cargo requirements are met for London Gatwick flights.
- Liaise with EK Passenger Services and Airlines load control (whether this is a local based GHA or DXB CLC) to maximize use of available space for Cargo in order to maximize revenue for London Gatwick flights.
- Ensure the correct Export documentation is produced to satisfy flight safety.
- Ensure complete and accurate data capture is completed in NGSC and that flights have been verified and departed in a timely manner.
- Attend the flight at ramp side and monitor coordination of all Cargo related activities and also inform the Airport Services Officer (ASO) of any problems relating to non cargo activities.
- Liaise at ramp side with GHA load control, DXB CLC and passenger ASO to respond to the continuous fluctuations of load requirements (due to EK PAX at check-in) and achieve a maximum cargo uplift on flight departure.
- Ensure all Import & Export Cargo, Courier and Mail are off-loaded and loaded correctly and all relevant paperwork & freight is handed over to the appropriate areas.
- Ensure all post flight information is dispatched in a timely manner to the correct departments.
- Monitor import Cargo breakdown and liaise with all concerned parties to resolve any problems arising.
- Liaise with the GHA, EK Cargo Reservations and Head Office to resolve any problems relating to any Import/Export consignments.
- Ensure at all times that Cargo is loaded in a safe and secure manner and do all possible to create a safe working environment for self and colleagues.
- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and monitor all vendors H&S compliance.
- Attend operational meetings to represent Emirates interests with Service Providers as directed by the Cargo operations Officer.
- Arrange all aspects and supervise the Emirates scheduled freighter operation into the UK directed by the Cargo Operations Officer.
- Arrange Ground distribution across UK as required.
- Monitor and control ULD stock levels and FCC/FCB stock and requirement.
- Complete tasks/projects as directed by the Cargo Officer & Cargo Operations Manager.
- Be expected to work at any of the three LON airports if requested by the Cargo Officer or Cargo Operations Manager.

Qualification
- Thorough knowledge and experience in Cargo Operations
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and weight and balance procedures
- Hands-on experience performing 4-eye duties on freighters
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and proactively solve problems
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel and SITA IV
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Must have a Driving Licence.
