Role Description
The Carpenter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hockley.

The Carpenter will be expected to perform a variety of tasks including measuring, cutting, and installing timber frame extensions / loft conversions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting drawings or work instructions
- Selecting appropriate materials
- Using hand tools and power tools to complete structural and 2nd fix carpentry work
- Collaborating with other team members
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Ensuring all work meets company standards and applicable regulations
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including experience with 1st & 2nd fix carpentry
- Proficiency in safe and effective use of power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret basic plans, drawings, or work specifications
- Good understanding of construction site safety practices and regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting, standing, and working at heights
- Previous experience in residential carpentry is essential
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship training is an asset
