Experienced Joiner - Immediate Start

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, England

Pay: From £19.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay Frequency: Weekly


GMR Construction-Maintenance Limited is a family-run construction company with over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality new build, refurbishment, and maintenance projects across the domestic and commercial sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Joiner to join our team for an immediate start. If you're reliable, hardworking, and take pride in producing quality workmanship, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of first and second fix joinery.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Take accurate measurements and carry out precise calculations.
  • Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Work on a variety of projects, including complex and high-specification work.
  • Assist with general construction duties when required.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship on every project.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Joiner with relevant qualifications.
  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
  • Hardworking and committed to delivering quality work.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Essential Requirements

  • CSCS Card preferred, but not essential.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
