The Opportunity

As part of a strategic growth roadmap, G2 is seeking an experienced Carpenter to bring real craft to our projects. Established in 2020 and based in Bedfordshire, we’re a boutique firm working across the Northern Home Counties and London — residential new build and refurbishment, increasingly through Passivhaus and low-energy methods.

This is a role with craft at its heart. It isn’t about swinging a hammer — it’s about applying genuine skill to high-specification, low-energy work where the standard of the finish is everything. You’ll work alongside our site team and our clients, where teamwork is everything, and the projects genuinely one of a kind.

Core Character & Mindset

  • Craft-led: You take pride in a finish that speaks for itself and hold that standard whether anyone is watching.
  • Organised and dependable: You take pride in getting the details right and following things through.
  • Generous with what you know: You bring our apprentices and trainees on, and you stay open to learning new methods yourself.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
