Company Description

Red Creates Ltd is a creative design and production company based in Sutton. We specialise in creating and managing retail and experiential projects, including point-of-sale displays, pop-up spaces, retail windows, and branded installations.

Working closely with leading brands, we bring creative concepts to life—from initial design and manufacture through to installation.

Role Description

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our team in a full-time, on-site role at our Sutton workshop.

The successful candidate will produce high-quality bespoke pieces for a wide variety of creative display projects. Responsibilities will include general and finishing carpentry, working with power and hand tools, interpreting technical drawings and sketches, and preparing items for installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Constructing bespoke display units, retail fixtures, and scenic elements
  • Carrying out general and finishing carpentry to a high standard
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and sketches
  • Operating power tools, hand tools, and workshop machinery safely
  • Working closely with designers and project managers
  • Preparing finished items for delivery and installation
  • Supporting on-site installations when required
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong carpentry and finishing-carpentry skills
  • Experience using power tools, hand tools, and workshop machinery
  • Ability to interpret design plans, technical drawings, and sketches
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness and stamina for manual work
  • Experience within retail displays, exhibitions, events, or scenic construction would be an advantage
