Summary

The Carpenter is responsible for constructing high-quality wooden crates and packaging to safely transport aircraft parts, components, and equipment. This position requires precision craftsmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to aerospace packaging standards to ensure materials are protected during domestic and international shipments.

Main responsibilities

  • Complete all crating/carpentry requests in a safe & efficient manner; ensuring correct PPE, etc. is worn at all times
  • Completes requisition forms for materials and supplies, and submits to management for processing
  • Communicates with management to clarify work order information and to relay repair results
  • Strict adherence to Company Health & Safety policy by all staff and report issues/concerns (including 5S, Housekeeping, etc.)
  • Promotes a culture of safety by monitoring self & others to ensure all duties are performed within established safety guidelines
  • Identify & implement Continuous Improvement within team to improve productivity, quality and minimise/reduce errors
  • Any other duties associated with, or different from those specified above at the request of the Senior Management, or to meet the needs of the business demands

  • Demonstrable experience in Carpentry/General Building Maintenance
