Carpenter - Multi Trades

Location: South East London

Salary: Up to £38,000

If you’re an experienced Carpenter who can turn your hand to a range of jobs and takes pride in your work, we'd like to hear from you.

As a Carpenter, you’ll be working in our customers' homes carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance, delivering an exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out multi-trade repairs, with a primary focus on carpentry, while undertaking a range of general maintenance tasks as required.
  • Diagnosing and resolving day-to-day repairs including doors, locks, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring, kitchen units, worktops, minor wall repairs, tiling, and basic plumbing-related repairs.
  • Completing carpentry repairs and associated works to kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows, and other areas of customers' homes to a high standard.
  • Undertaking associated works such as patch plastering, sealing, decorating touch-ups, minor tiling, and replacing fixtures, fittings, handles, locks, and ironmongery.
  • Working independently to manage your own workload while collaborating with other trades on more complex repairs and projects.
  • Accurately recording work completed, materials used, and updating progress through work orders and reporting systems.
  • Delivering excellent customer service and keeping residents informed throughout the repair process.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with Hyde's health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid experience across carpentry with the ability to undertake other general maintenance and multi-trade repairs.
  • Confident using hand and power tools
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude
  • Physically fit and happy with hands-on work
  • Experience working in social housing is a bonus
  • A full, valid UK driving licence
