We are looking for an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join our bed manufacturing team. The successful candidate must have previous experience in bed manufacturing and practical experience working with timber and wood-based materials.
The role will involve:
- Measuring, marking, cutting and assembling timber, plywood, MDF and other wood-based materials.
- Manufacturing and assembling bed frames, headboards, footboards, side rails, centre supports and other bed components.
- Manufacturing storage/ottoman bed frames and fitting relevant brackets, hinges and gas-lift mechanisms.
- Using hand tools and power tools including saws, drills, routers, sanders and nail/staple guns.
- Reading and following measurements, cutting lists and production specifications.
- Ensuring all components are accurately measured, square, aligned and securely assembled.
- Checking finished components for quality, accuracy and defects.
- Working efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Following company health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Working as part of a production team and reporting any material, machinery or quality issues to the supervisor.

Previous experience in bed manufacturing is essential. Experience with upholstered beds, storage/ottoman beds and made-to-measure bed frames will be particularly beneficial.
