Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 4:00 pm

Pay Rate: £26.82 per hour

We have an opportunity for a Carpenter Multi-Trade to support maintenance works across a single housing estate in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. This is a static role based within a well-established neighbourhood, with all properties located within walking distance.

A secure on-site lock-up is provided for tool storage, eliminating the need to carry tools to and from the estate each day. While a van and fuel card are not provided for this role, a van is available on the estate for use during working hours if required.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance works across tenanted and void council properties, both internally and externally, with a carpentry bias.
  • Completing a range of carpentry and multi-trade tasks, including hanging doors and frames, fitting kitchens, installing structural flooring and finishes, dry lining, replacing locks, fitting baths and basins, tiling, painting, decorating, and general repairs.
  • Using a handheld PDA device to receive work instructions, update job progress in real time, and accurately record completed works.
  • Delivering excellent customer service by treating residents and their homes with respect, maintaining clear communication, and completing work to a high standard.
  • Maintaining clean and safe working areas by using appropriate protective coverings and leaving each property clean, tidy, and compliant upon completion of works.

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Site Carpentry (desirable)
