Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role located in Waltham Abbey. The Carpenter will carry out a variety of carpentry tasks and perform high-end joinery and bespoke items on hospitality and hotel commercial projects. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings
  • Measuring and cutting materials with the use of a CNC machine
  • Safely operating hand tools and power tools
  • Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards

The role also involves:

  • Collaboration with project managers and other trades
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Following company health and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Strong carpentry skills, including experience with structural and non-structural works.
  • Proficient in constructing high end bespoke joinery.
  • Confident use of hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels, measuring tools) with attention to accuracy and safety.
  • Skilled in operating power tools (e.g., drills, circular saws, nail guns) in line with safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and follow site instructions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a site team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
  • Previous experience as a Carpenter in construction or fit out environments; relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship is an advantage.
  • Right to work in the UK and ability to commute daily to Waltham Abbey.
  • Knowledge of working a CNC machine and running material (Beneficial)
