Carpentry Technician
Location: East London
Salary: £26,020 - £30,912 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Are you an experienced Carpenter or Joiner looking for a role where you can use your industry skills to support the next generation of tradespeople?
The Role
As Carpentry Technician, you will:
- Support lecturers with the preparation and delivery of practical lessons.
- Assist learners across different levels to develop their carpentry skills.
- Maintain carpentry workshops, tools, and equipment to a high standard.
- Support the safe and effective use of workshop facilities.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to learners during practical activities.
- Help ensure health and safety procedures are followed across the workshop.
- Support learners working towards further study, employment, and apprenticeships.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant industry experience within carpentry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and support learners.
- Good organisational and IT skills.
- A strong understanding of workshop health and safety.
- Previous teaching experience is not essential. The key requirement is strong industry knowledge and the ability to support and motivate learners.
