Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce, you will be pivotal in measuring and managing the performance of our Third-Party carriers. Your mission is to ensure our customers receive the best possible service while keeping costs optimised. Through detailed performance monitoring, system optimisation, and proactive escalation, you will ensure our logistics operations run at their peak.
What You’ll Do
- Carrier Management: Own the day-to-day relationship with our Third-Party carriers, escalating issues as necessary to keep operations running smoothly.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly measure carrier performance against SLAs, covering costs, customer service levels, returns performance, and lost/damaged stock.
- Strategic Optimisation: Review performance weekly; including a detailed analysis of invoices to identify cost-saving opportunities. You will also manage system set-ups (Metapack) to ensure parcels are sent via the most optimal services.
- Logistics Coordination: Work closely with our Distribution Centre to ensure compliance and track returns logistics at the parcel level, escalating any delays.
- Forecasting & Improvement: Forecast carrier volumes to secure necessary capacity, and drive proactive actions to reduce customer contacts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
