IUC Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) (111) Deputy General Manager
111 Call Centres currently based at Barking and Croydon
Band 8a, plus Outer London HCAS
Permanent position
This position is a key leadership role within the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Directorate, leading the Clinical Assessment Service to ensure that patients receive a high quality, safe service. The CAS is a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians who provide telephone clinical assessments for patients who have contacted the service via 111 or have had their case transferred from the 999 service.

The role will be integral to the management of the CAS clinical workforce and the post holder will work within the senior management team to deliver, improve and design innovative service delivery models as part of the growth and expansion of the IUC within LAS and the wider London system.

The post holder will be the first line manager for the Clinical Team Navigators within the CAS as well as for the GPs and ACPs, working in conjunction with the CAS GP leads.
There will be a requirement, as part of the role, to provide 24/7 clinical oversight on an on-call basis.
