About Homeland International
Homeland International is a global repatriation service and is part of CPJ Field, the UK's oldest Funeral Directors. We provide compassionate, professional repatriation services for families and funeral directors across the world.
We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive individual to join our team as a Case Coordinator. This is an international role, supporting repatriations to and from any location worldwide. We are looking for a person with good geographic and world knowledge, candidates who speak another language in addition to English are encouraged but this is not essential.
The successful applicant will initially be based at our location in Uckfield, East Sussex. As part of our ongoing growth as a business, Homeland International is planning to relocate to new premises in the Crawley area within the next 12 months. We are therefore seeking applicants who are able to commute to Uckfield during the transition period and who will be well placed to work from our new Crawley location, once the relocation is complete.
There are no normal hours of work but you are required to work a minimum of 39 hours per week Monday to Friday, which will be linked closely to the needs of the customer and business. The actual times of work may vary according to the needs of the business but are usually 09:00 until 17:00, Monday to Friday. Colleagues will take part in our out of hours shift rota which will include approximately one week per month on a shift starting at 14:00 until 22:00 (Mon – Fri) with weekend cover too.

Duties
The role of the Case Coordinator is to act as a facilitator and liaison between all parties involved in the repatriation of a deceased person, including liaison with the bereaved family.
Responsibilities may include:
- Inclusion on On-Call Shift Rota
- Supporting and updating Bereaved Clients
- Receiving and processing instructions from Insurance Companies and Funeral Directors
- Compiling and issuing quotations
- Organising live repatriation cases
- Liaison with our international network of agents and service providers
- Liaison with relevant parties (i.e. the family of the deceased and the person/company that has instructed us)
- Coordination of statutory documentation required
- Attending Embassies and Consulates for paperwork
- Liaison with airlines and customs agencies
- Issuing and receiving invoices
- Administration support
- Additional tasks as may be required
This role, would suit someone who is eager to learn and has great attention to detail. Given the sensitive nature of the role, you must be a competent and confident communicator. With an international dimension, language skills are highly preferable, although not an absolute requirement. Occasional travel to Embassies and Consulates will require the individual to be well presented and a good ambassador for Homeland International and CPJ Field & Co.

The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Experience within funeral services, repatriation or an assistance environment.
- Experience working in a team.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A flexible approach to working hours in line with operational requirements.
- A professional appearance and compassionate manner.
- A good understanding of the world, knowing where places are and interacting with people from different countries, communities and cultures.
- High levels of integrity, reliability and confidentiality.
- Emotional resilience and confidence working with the deceased and bereaved families.
- Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
- Adaptive to working from various working locations and environments
