Case Worker - (Disabled Facilities Grant)
Salary £30,321
40 Hours per week
Alliance Norse is a partnership between Norse Group and High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council. The Joint Venture (JV) company was formed in 2022 to provide a number of services to the two Council’s.
Alliance Norse is currently recruiting for a Case Worker to join the team on a full time permanent basis, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
As the Case Worker, you will be responsible for acting as first port of call when clients contact us to access our services. Case managers are trained to first provide a telephone triage call to understand the caller’s needs and explain how our DFG services work.
The Role
- Take calls from clients seeking to access Alliance Norse DFG services
- Ask them for the relevant information and put it on Alliance Norse database application (ELMs)
- Match the client with the appropriate practitioner, including contacting the practitioner for their availability.
- Liaise between the practitioner and the client to arrange the initial appointment.
- Send confirmation emails to clients and practitioners regarding first appointments.
- Refer any ‘at risk’ cases to the appropriate clinical manager or safeguarding member of staff.
- Become familiar with Alliance Norse’s DFG services, procedures and processes in order to support Reception staff when necessary.
- Deal with enquiries from clients regarding the administration side of their therapy and answer any queries they have.
- Support the finance team with regard to client fees when necessary.
- Provide liaison with GPs, solicitors, employers, occupational health and medical insurance companies regarding referrals when applicable.
- Liaise with other professionals and referrers as well as parents and families when required.
- Collect feedback from clients and put it on Alliance Norse database application.
- Support practitioners in the use of Alliance Norse database drive to enable them to use our electronic systems for all record keeping.

Our Successful Candidate
- Good core understanding of potential major adaptations at resident’s properties to ensure daily activities and residents needs are being met
- Clear understanding of what DFG’s are and how these are being provided to resident with long term physical needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, be a team player with a can-do attitude and a positive outlook
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Able to manage own time well and prioritise to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy essential
- Excellent IT skills. Knowledge of Google Workspace would be an advantage and experience using a database is essential
