This vacancy is only available for applications from existing Internal Plymouth City Council employees and Agency Workers who are in an active placement and have 12 weeks continuous service. About The Role
Plymouth City Council is seeking enthusiastic and committed Case Workers to support the delivery of the Youth Employment Programme
The Youth Employment Programme helps young people aged 16 to 24 access employment, education and training opportunities, supporting them to build confidence, develop skills and achieve positive outcomes. As a Case Worker, you will provide personalised support to young people, helping them overcome barriers and progress towards their goals.

You will manage a caseload of participants, working closely with employers, training providers and partner organisations to help young people access the right opportunities and sustain positive progression.
What You'll Do
- Provide one-to-one support, guidance and mentoring to young people.
- Develop action plans and support individuals to achieve their employment, education or training goals.
- Assess barriers to progression and identify appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor participant progress.
- Build effective relationships with employers, training providers and partners.
- Promote the Youth Employment Programme and engage young people with the programme.
- Contribute to achieving programme targets and outcomes.

You will have:
- Experience of supporting young people, customers or service users to achieve positive outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate, coach and build trusting relationships.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- An understanding of the challenges facing young people and barriers to employment.
