AVP Financial Crime Case Worker

Location: Glasgow
Rate: Up to £400 per day, Inside IR35
Level: AVP
Sector: Financial Services
Engagement: Contract, Right-to-Hire

The Opportunity

We are looking for experienced AVP-level Financial Crime Case Workers to support a major programme within a leading UK financial services company. The position will focus on the ownership and investigation of complex and higher-risk cases, requiring strong Financial Crime knowledge, investigative capability, and sound risk-based judgement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of complex and higher-risk Financial Crime cases.
  • Conduct detailed investigations and case reviews.
  • Analyse customer information, documentation, and potential risk indicators.
  • Perform risk assessments and make well-supported, risk-based recommendations.
  • Identify cases requiring further escalation or specialist review.
  • Maintain clear and defensible case records and decision rationale.
  • Ensure cases adhere to internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage cases efficiently through to resolution.
  • Engage with Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime, and operational stakeholders.
  • Support less experienced case workers where required.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years' relevant experience within Banking or Financial Services.
  • Strong Financial Crime case management or investigations background.
  • Experience within AML, KYC, Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance, or Investigations.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex or higher-risk cases.
  • Strong investigative and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent risk assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written communication and case documentation skills.
