Role Purpose

We're looking for a Cash Application Specialist to join our finance team, keeping customer receipts accurate, up to date, and properly allocated. You'll play a key role in cash allocation, bank reconciliation, and reducing unapplied cash — helping the wider team make confident, well-informed collection decisions.

About The Role

You'll post and allocate customer receipts daily, help reconcile bank and ledger balances, and keep unallocated cash to a minimum. It's a hands-on role for someone who's organised, numerate, and comfortable investigating discrepancies until they're resolved.

What You'll Do

Cash application

  • Post customer bank receipts and retail cash/card receipts in NetSuite daily
  • Allocate receipts accurately against customer accounts and open invoices
  • Investigate partial payments, overpayments, duplicates and unidentified receipts
  • Chase remittance advice from customers, working closely with Credit Control and Billing
  • Keep unapplied cash and customer credits under regular review, prioritising the oldest and highest-value items
  • Keep clear records of open issues and flag anything material to the Cash Application Manager

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
