Cash & Payments Associate
Leicester | £28,000–£32,000 DOE
Our client is a growing international group bringing together specialist businesses across a range of technical and professional sectors. They are looking for an experienced Cash & Payments Associate to join the team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a collaborative finance function supporting multiple businesses across the group. You'll play a key role in ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and on time while helping to deliver an efficient, high-quality service to both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
About the Role
Working within a fast-paced Shared Services environment, you'll take ownership of day-to-day Cash & Payments activities, ensuring payments are processed accurately, financial controls are maintained, and supplier relationships are supported through excellent service.
We're looking for someone with proven experience in Cash & Payments who enjoys working in a structured, deadline-driven environment and has a keen eye for detail. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within a growing, modern finance function.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs, ensuring payments are made accurately and on time.
- Verify invoices, approvals, and payment information in line with company procedures.
- Complete daily bank postings, payment allocations, and reconciliations.
- Process employee expenses and support urgent payment requests when required.
- Respond to supplier payment queries and work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure all payment activities comply with internal controls, financial policies, and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end reporting activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and ways of working.
About You
Essential
- At least 3 years' experience in Cash & Payments, Accounts Payable, or a similar finance role.
- Experience preparing and processing supplier payment runs.
- Strong understanding of payment processes, financial controls, and reconciliations.
- Experience validating invoices and supplier information before payment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite would be an advantage).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and meet strict payment deadlines.

Salary & Benefits
£28,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to develop your career within a growing international organisation.
