What's the opportunity?

We're looking for a Cashier to join our Brixton store on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding service. You'll become part of a friendly and supportive team, helping customers access our products and services while ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

What will you be doing?

  • Serving customers face-to-face and processing money transfers, money orders and foreign currency transactions.
  • Accurately verifying and entering customer information into company systems.
  • Assisting customers with enquiries about our products, services and other Ria locations.
  • Identifying and resolving customer queries and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Ria products, services and policies.
  • Balancing cash registers and preparing cash for bank deposits.
  • Completing daily transaction records accurately.
  • Supporting colleagues and undertaking additional duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the store.

What are we looking for?

  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and professional approach when dealing with customers.
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Cash handling experience is highly desirable.
