The role
As a Cashier, you will provide a professional cashiering service across the Group, supporting the effective management and control of commercial bank accounts. Working within the Finance team, you will process transactions, maintain accurate financial records, support regulatory compliance, and help ensure a high standard of service for internal and external stakeholders.
Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position based in our Milton Keynes office. The role follows a hybrid working pattern, with an expectation of onsite presence 2 days per week.
What you’ll be doing
- Process incoming cash, cheques and electronic payments accurately across Group bank accounts.
- Allocate receipts and payments correctly within accounting and banking systems.
- Manage inter-company cash transfer requests and ensure timely completion.
- Review payment requests and arrange authorisation in line with established controls and procedures.
- Reconcile bank accounts and system records, investigating and resolving discrepancies where required.
- Process IBA credit card transactions and maintain accurate supporting records.
- Respond to account-related queries promptly, providing clear and effective resolutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across finance systems and documentation.
- Support projects and process improvement activities within the cashiering function.
- Apply Group policies, procedures and CASS requirements while responding effectively to urgent business needs.

Who we're looking for
- Experience working in an office, administrative or finance-related environment would be advantageous.
- Exposure to cash handling, transaction processing, reconciliations or financial administration would be beneficial.
- Ability to work accurately with numerical information and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience following processes, controls and documented procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Good numerical ability and confidence working with financial information.
- Further finance-related qualifications or study would be advantageous but are not essential.
