Casino & Events Marketing Executive

Do you have a proven track record of managing campaigns and promotional activities? Are you looking for career progression? Do you want to be part of a progressive Marketing team, helping to transform the business in a competitive growth market? Then this will be the perfect position for you.

We are looking for a driven Casino & Events Marketing Executive to join our team here at our MERKUR Head Office. We want our casino’s to be busy and bustling 24/7 and constantly delight our customers with events and activity - and that’s where you come in!

This is a brand-new opportunity where you will take the lead on all Casino events and promotional support nationally, helping to drive venue performance via National, Local and bespoke initiatives. Working closely with both the venues and wider marketing team to help drive player engagement and revenue through promotional and event activity.

Position: Casino & Events Marketing Executive

  • Salary: £30,000-35,000 DOE
  • Location: Head office - Milton Keynes - Hybrid – This role will involve travel to our casino’s.

  • Experience in a similar role for Casino businesses in the UK or elsewhere
  • Have the ability and be willing to travel to venues and team meetings across the regions
  • Have a ‘solutions based’ mentality, with the big picture and scale always in mind
  • Good Interpersonal skills and a personable approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in talking to people at all levels of our organisation.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Good basics with IT skills – MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Enthusiastic, with a positive attitude.
  • Team player but able to work on own initiative.

Your Role will include:

  • Regularly attend Casino meetings ready to advise best practice solutions driven by Marketing knowledge and expertise on a consistent basis
  • Create engaging promotional activity and manage the content calendars for each venue.
  • Work closely with the Product team to understand all new machines and games available.
  • Create multi-channel content that meets the company objectives and is compliant
  • Work with Marketing colleagues to ensure online, digital, social and local / physical materials are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Use business intelligence (BI) tools to monitor campaign performance, report on ROI, and analyse player behaviour in response to your planned activities.
  • Ensure that all communications plans and campaign support plans are in place across all consent led channels (e.g. Email, SMS)
  • Ensure all creative briefs following the company standards to ensure compliance and maximum detail, to minimise rework and maximise brand impact.
  • Source external advertising opportunities and place adverts as required in consultation with key stakeholders (Marketing, Compliance Ops) – ensuring scalable and shared solutions where possible
  • Manage your portion of the marketing budgets to ensure no over-spend versus plan – working closely with each Casino venue GM.
  • Regularly monitor and report on competitor activity though research and venue area feedback
  • Maintain and update customer databases efficiently and work with venues to maximise data capture and sign up.
  • Take responsibility for ad-hoc projects on a regular basis to enhance your knowledge/development and help drive the department’s deliverables forwards.
  • Provide ‘ad-hoc’ support across our Casino estate, via calls, emails (Marketing Inbox and Direct), Zoom or F2F meetings
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Working within our appropriate compliance framework to demonstrate the key behaviours of a professional, supportive, and engaging marketing function.
  • To promote awareness of Responsible Gambling strategies and procedures.
