Location: flexible across UK, within reasonable commuting distance of a Johnston Carmichael office.

Ready to build a specialist career in one of the UK's fastest growing areas of Financial Services assurance?
We are seeking an experienced CASS Audit Senior or Supervisor to join our expanding CASS Audit team, working with a wide range of FCA regulated firms, from innovative fintechs and startups to established wealth managers and investment firms.
Led by Gillian Boston, a member of the ICAEW Financial Services Faculty CASS Working Group and Committee Member of the Scottish CASS Forum, our team is recognised for its technical expertise, industry profile and thought leadership within the CASS community. This is an opportunity to work directly with recognised industry leaders, gain exposure to complex and varied CASS engagements, and develop expertise within a niche area of Financial Services where demand for experienced professionals continues to grow.

What You Will Do
You will take ownership of CASS Audit engagements from planning through to completion, delivering high quality work while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audit fieldwork and managing day to day client interactions.
- Delivering assignments to budget, deadline and quality expectations.
- Coaching and supporting junior team members.
- Identifying and resolving audit and regulatory issues.
- Preparing robust, review ready audit files.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of CASS and FCA requirements.
- Supporting business development and identifying opportunities with existing clients.
- Building strong relationships across clients and colleagues.
About You
We are looking for an ambitious and technically strong individual who is keen to develop their career within a growing specialist Financial Services team.
You will ideally have:
- CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or be close to qualifying).
- Audit experience gained in practice.
- Knowledge of Financial Services and FCA regulated businesses.
- CASS audit experience or a strong interest in developing this specialism.
- Experience within wealth management, investment management, platforms, stockbroking or related sectors.
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach and commitment to exceptional client service.
