Compliance Analyst – CASS & Execution-Only Investments

London | £60,000–£65,000 | Temp-to-perm

An expanding UK-regulated bank is seeking an experienced Compliance Analyst to join its busy second-line Compliance team.

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will provide independent oversight, challenge and assurance across the bank’s CASS framework and execution-only investment services. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical knowledge of client money, custody assets, Best Execution and market-abuse requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with FCA CASS requirements, particularly CASS 6, CASS 7 and CASS 10.
  • Conduct risk-based reviews of client-money calculations, segregation, reconciliations, custody records and asset registration.
  • Review reconciliation breaks, shortfalls and exceptions, challenging their investigation and resolution.
  • Maintain the CASS breach log and support the preparation and retrieval testing of the CASS Resolution Pack.
  • Provide second-line oversight of execution-only activities, including client categorisation, appropriateness, order handling, disclosures and conflicts of interest.
  • Monitor compliance with the Best Execution Policy and review broker, venue and order-handling performance.
  • Oversee market-abuse surveillance, challenge alerts and investigations, and support STOR assessments and submissions.
  • Complete scheduled, thematic and ad hoc compliance-monitoring reviews.
  • Assess regulatory developments and support updates to policies, procedures and control frameworks.
  • Track regulatory breaches, audit findings and remedial actions through to completion.
  • Prepare management information and support regulatory visits, CASS audits and information requests.
  • Assist with wider compliance and financial-crime reviews when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
