CASS Reconciliations & Treasury Operations Officer

A PRA/FCA dual-regulated wholesale bank in London is hiring a CASS Reconciliations & Treasury Operations Officer. The role is dual-function: daily CASS 6 client-asset reconciliations for a growing custody book, plus operations support across plain vanilla FX and interest-rate products.

The firm is a CASS Medium firm. The role sits in Operations, reports to the CASS Oversight Officer and the Treasury Operations Team Lead, and sits under the SMF holder accountable for CASS. It is expected to fall within the SM&CR Certification Regime (CASS oversight), subject to annual fit-and-proper assessment.

The role

You will own the daily external and monthly internal CASS 6 reconciliations for safe custody assets, investigate and escalate breaks, and keep CASS evidence and Resolution Pack records current. In parallel you will support trade confirmation, settlement, nostro work and regulatory reporting for FX and rates.

Key responsibilities

CASS 6 reconciliations

  • Perform daily external and monthly internal reconciliation of safe custody assets held in the in-house custody system
  • Reconcile the securities ledger to CSD/sub-custodian statements, CSD position data and SWIFT MT564/566 corporate action messages
  • Maintain three-way reconciliation (system vs external statement vs HO accounting) at individual client level
  • Classify, document and investigate breaks; escalate significant breaks and client-asset shortfalls immediately
  • Confirm daily reconciliations before corporate action processing
  • Support the CASS Resolution Pack and submit the daily CASS Reconciliation Certificate under maker/checker controls
  • Support monthly CMAR preparation with accurate reconciliation data

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
