Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Cast & Crew Manager to join our Delivery team supporting the people responsible for delivering our training experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to showcase and develop their people and problem-solving skills working in a supportive and collaborative environment for a fast-growing, values-led company.

The Role

As Cast & Crew Manager you’ll manage and support ATT’s network of freelancers and training delivery teams. You’ll be the main point of contact between freelance contractors and ATT operations, keeping communication clear, and standards consistent. You’ll also improve the policies and processes that support this relationship, in line with ATT operations.

Location

Based at our offices in London SE8, wfh 1 day per week (plus travel to ATT UK sites as required).

Key Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

Freelancer Management, Engagement and Support:

  • Main point of contact for freelancers on operational and welfare matters
  • Resolve issues quickly and keep communication flowing across departments
  • Keep freelancer documentation and processes up to date
  • Run engagement initiatives (surveys, catch-ups) to boost morale and standards

Operational and Team Management:

  • Line manage remote, on-site Company Managers with regular catch-ups
  • Step in as Company Manager cover when needed (full training provided)
  • Visit centres and mobile programmes regularly to support the team
  • Support live event days alongside Technical Stage Managers
  • Work closely with the Delivery team for smooth event delivery

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for freelance crew — advertising through to interviews
  • Build clear, consistent hiring and onboarding processes
  • Work with the Resource Manager to plan ahead
  • Ensure every contractor is properly documented and compliant from day one

Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance:

  • Organise annual crew training covering safety and procedures
  • Maintain risk assessments and accessibility audits
  • Stay current on ACAS guidance and best practice
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot operational issues as they arise
  • Send clear, regular communications to freelancers
  • Help measure the impact of process improvements
  • Share the out-of-hours rota for last-minute crew changes

What We’re Looking For

This opportunity might be for you if you’re:

  • A people person, who builds trust quickly
  • Calm in the chaos – last-minute dropouts and out-of-hours calls don’t rattle you
  • Quietly brilliant at admin – contracts, compliance and software don’t scare you
  • Endlessly curious, always asking, “could we do this better?”
  • Sharp and responsive. You know that speed + support = the difference between a small hiccup and a real problem.

Essential:

  • An industry relevant degree-level or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience for the role.
  • At least 3-years’ experience in stage management, production management, live event management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and maintain morale in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience managing large teams and freelancers, including pastoral care responsibilities.
  • Experience working with remote or dispersed teams
  • Proficiency in IT skills (general administration) including Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in English and Maths

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with union rules, contracts and relevant industry regulations.
  • Good working knowledge of health, safety and wellbeing in a theatrical or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with resource management in live events or theatre production
