Company Description

Redcar Cricket Club is a long-established community sports club based in Redcar, known for its welcoming atmosphere and active social calendar. The club hosts cricket matches, training sessions, and a variety of social events throughout the year. Its clubhouse and bar are central to the club’s community life, providing a friendly environment for members, guests, and visiting teams. Casual Bar Staff play an important role in delivering a positive experience to everyone who visits the club.

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Casual Bar Staff role based at Redcar Cricket Club in Redcar. The role involves serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, handling cash and card payments, and operating the bar till in a responsible manner. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and closing the bar area, restocking drinks and supplies, maintaining cleanliness of the bar and seating areas, and washing glassware. The Casual Bar Staff member will welcome guests, provide friendly and efficient service, and follow all relevant club policies and licensing regulations. The role may include evening and weekend shifts, especially during matches, functions, and special events.

  • Ability to provide friendly, professional customer service in a busy bar or hospitality environment.
  • Comfortable handling cash and card transactions, using a till or point-of-sale system accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of drinks service, including pouring and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized bar area and follow basic food hygiene and safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a small team and independently.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days as required.
  • Previous bar, hospitality, or customer-facing experience is desirable but not essential; training can be provided.
  • Minimum legal age to serve alcohol and willingness to comply with all licensing laws and club policies.
