Join Gather by Cater Care as a Catering Assistant at Ipswich Grammar School and become part of a supportive, high-energy team delivering great food and service every day.

We’re looking for a hands-on team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a friendly personality who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. In this role, you’ll assist with meal preparation, food service, and help maintain a welcoming dining experience for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality customer service, always with a positive attitude
  • Assist with preparing and serving food, including meals and snacks
  • Ensure all dishes are washed and the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and safe
  • Maintain stock levels, replenishing items as required and following meal service
  • Strictly adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in food preparation and/or customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to support kitchen operations and service delivery
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A Working With Children Check, or willing to obtain
