Since its opening, Utilita Arena Newcastle quickly established itself as a superb venue and major Northeast landmark, alongside the Tyne Bridge, Angel of the North, and Hadrian's Wall. With the capacity to host 11,000+ guests, we have welcomed millions of visitors to concerts, exhibitions, conferences, and world-class sporting events.
About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Casual Chef. Whether you're preparing dishes for a large event, a private function, or our day-to-day service, you'll bring creativity, efficiency, and consistency to the kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with fresh ingredients, and takes pride in delivering high-quality food.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes with consistency and flair.
- Contribute creative ideas to menu development and special events.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen following hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams for smooth service.
- Manage stock and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous chef experience in restaurants, catering, or events
- Passion for food, strong cooking skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Positive, adaptable, team-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene; flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
- Culinary qualifications a plus, but your talent matters most!
