Vulnerable children in the UK need your help
Wherever you work in the Action for Children family, you'll be helping to change the lives of the most vulnerable children in the UK.
Last year, we helped more than 671,000 children and families across the UK. From direct work in communities to national campaigning, we are focused on making sure every child has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.
A bit about the role
Our Edinburgh and Lothian Therapeutic clubs deliver a stimulating and safe weekly, term-time Therapeutic Activity Programme for disabled children/young people. Needs-led therapeutic activities will reflect children's age, abilities, and preferences. Children/young people will have fun, socialise, and enjoy positive experiences whilst their families have a break from caring responsibilities. A combination of building and community-based activities will promote inclusion and broaden children's experiences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
