Contract: Casual

Salary: 10.21-12.71 per hour

Hours: per week

One of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. Here we cater for a number of different events through the year ranging from corporate and private meeting & events to the absolutely enthralling match days over the course of the year. With a variety of Food & Beverage outlets to choose from, it is an outstanding venue that offers attendees a fun day out.

We are looking for a customer focused casual events assistant to join our team at one of our prestigious client locations in Durham.

Duties To Include

  • Assist in the setup of event spaces, including arranging seating, setting up equipment, and preparing the venue for the event.
  • Provide assistance to event attendees, including guiding them to their seats, answering basic questions, and offering general help.
  • After events, participate in cleanup activities, which may include clearing tables, removing debris, and restoring the venue to its original condition.
  • Work collaboratively with other event staff, following instructions and contributing to the overall success of the event.
  • Perform assigned tasks effectively and efficiently, adhering to safety guidelines and event protocols.
  • Be prepared to take on various roles or assist in different areas of event operations as needed.

You Will Have The Following Skills

  • Willingness to work on a casual basis, to support event operations.
  • Reliable and punctual, arriving on time for assigned shifts.
  • Capable of handling tasks that may involve heavy lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Basic communication skills to understand and carry out tasks and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Willingness to take on various roles and responsibilities as needed during events.
  • A customer-friendly attitude and a willingness to assist event attendees as required.
  • Ideally Holds Health Safety Level & Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificates.

Knowledge / Competencies

  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
