Casual Kitchen Porter

We are looking for 2 Casual Kitchen Porters to join our busy kitchen team. As a Casual Kitchen Porter, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work as part of a friendly and energetic team.

What you’ll do

  • Support the kitchen team with the smooth running of the kitchen
  • Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment
  • Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, tidy and organised
  • Assist with the cleaning of floors, surfaces and equipment
  • Remove and dispose of waste safely and efficiently
  • Assist with deliveries, including storing food and kitchen supplies correctly
  • Ensure kitchen equipment and work areas are maintained to a high standard
  • Support chefs and the wider team with preparation and other kitchen duties when required
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
  • Work efficiently to keep up with the demands of a busy restaurant

What we’re looking for

  • A positive and hardworking attitude

  • Good communication skills
  • Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends

We are looking to recruit 2 Casual Kitchen Porters to join the Gino D’Acampo Leeds team.

This role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment and carry out physical duties including lifting, carrying, cleaning and moving equipment. A professional appearance and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards are also required.
