What will you be doing?

As a Casual Matchday Hospitality Executive, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional experience for our hospitality guests and supporters. Working as part of the Hospitality Team, you will provide a friendly, professional, and efficient service across a range of sales, administrative, and matchday activities, helping the department achieve its commercial and customer service objectives.

This varied role will include:

  • Supporting hospitality sales activity
  • Building relationships with guests and clients
  • Fulfilling bookings
  • Carrying out administrative tasks
  • Assisting with matchday preparations

You will also act as an ambassador for Southampton Football Club, ensuring every supporter receives a first-class experience.

The role is offered on a casual basis, with hours available according to business requirements. Successful candidates will be expected to be available on and around home matchdays, with additional hours available throughout the season depending on operational needs. There may also be opportunities to receive training and support the Club's Ticketing Team during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Support the sale and fulfilment of the club's hospitality products and experiences.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters, clients, and guests.
  • Assist with hospitality administration, guest communications, and booking fulfilment.
  • Support matchday preparations, set-up, and operational delivery.
  • Represent Southampton Football Club in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Assist with hospitality activities during busy periods where required.
  • Contribute towards departmental sales and customer service targets.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused individual with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Confident communicating with people from all backgrounds
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is essential

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good numeracy and attention to detail
  • Well organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
  • A positive and proactive approach to work
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within hospitality, sales, events, ticketing, or customer service
  • Experience working within a sporting, leisure, or entertainment environment
  • Knowledge of Southampton Football Club and its hospitality offerings
