Casual Night Duty Manager

Location: Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Near Newport, Shropshire, TF10 9AT
Salary: Paying up to £13.57 per hour, plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Casual contract working hours between 8am–8pm days and 8pm–8am nights, Monday to Sunday

As a Casual Night Duty Manager in our Lilleshall Leisure Trust team, you’ll help ensure our facilities operate safely, smoothly and confidently throughout the day and night. Your work will create a positive experience for visitors while supporting the delivery of high-quality leisure services.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment for colleagues, customers and visitors. By supporting operational excellence, responding to challenges and leading teams effectively, you’ll help create a positive impact on communities and encourage active, healthy lifestyles.

What you’ll do as a Casual Night Duty Manager

  • Oversee the facility during day and night operations, ensuring safety, security and customer satisfaction remain the priority.
  • Lead, support and motivate colleagues to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  • Open and close the facility and carry out security, safety and site-wide checks in line with Serco Management System procedures.
  • Respond effectively to accidents, incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action and maintaining control.
  • Provide colleagues with information, instruction, induction and training to support safe and effective working practices.
  • Monitor operational performance standards and take action to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Does this sound like you?

  • Experience in facility management, ideally in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work legislation and safe working practices.
  • Experience working in a leisure, hospitality or similar operational environment.
  • Strong communication and customer care skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Confident IT skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • A First Aid at Work certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
