A flexible, customer-facing role supporting safe, welcoming leisure facilities within a vibrant school community.

Situated on the edge of the Wellington College estate, the Health & Fitness Club provides a welcoming setting for members and staff. The Club is a busy, multi-use leisure facility serving pupils, staff, members, and external users, and plays an important role in supporting health, wellbeing, and community engagement across the College.

We are seeking Casual Recreation Assistants to primarily support lifeguard cover across the swimming pool on a flexible, as-required basis. This role is particularly suited to individuals who already hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or are close to renewal, and who are able to offer availability during evenings, weekends, and peak operational periods. Casual shifts are offered in line with operational need and provide flexibility alongside other commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe and well-supervised pool environment
  • Responding calmly and professionally to swimmers and users
  • Acting promptly in line with training and procedures
  • Ensuring safeguarding and safety standards are consistently upheld
  • Supporting wider Club operations, helping to maintain high standards of presentation, customer service, and professionalism across the facility

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
