Responsibilities

The Casual Retail Assistant is responsible for supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving and exceeding store sales and profit budgets through individual sales performance. The Casual Retail Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining a fresh, clean and inviting shopping environment at all times for our customers.

  • Provide exceptional customer in keeping with company guidelines and training.
  • Learn and promote relevant knowledge of all products.
  • Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to monitor and achieve daily and monthly individual sales budgets.
  • Maintain awareness of individual KPI results.
  • Demonstrate correct use of all internal sales and POS systems.
  • Maintain impeccable housekeeping and store presentation standards, in keeping with company guidelines.
  • Partake in higher duty responsibilities when requested.
  • Work at other locations when required.
  • Always maintain professional standards to support the company values.
  • Promote and support all store sales events and promotions in accordance with company direction.

Requirements

  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Confidence to sell to all Canterbury customers with a genuine customer-centric attitude.
  • Professional work ethic and leads by example.
  • Passion for relationship building, both internally and externally.
  • An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An honest and reliable team player.
  • Driven, self-motivated and goal orientated.
  • Tidy, well-groomed and able to meet a neat standard of dress aligning with Canterbury standards.
  • Physically fit and able for the purpose of unpacking boxes of stock, moving fixtures and other physical duties.
